You can access your mail on your mobile phone.

Supported by Aircel, Airtel, BPL Mobile, Command, Essar, Hutch, Idea, Orange, Reliance Mobile, RPG, Spice

To access your mail on your mobile phone, you will need to send commands as an SMS message to 7333.
(Each SMS sent will be charged by the operator at the prevailing rate)

Using your mobile phone, you can access your Rediffmail account and:

 

>Login
>Check mail
>Read mail
>Read Other Mails (POP3)
>Reply mail
>Forward mail
>Delete mail
>Send Mail
>Logout

 

Login

The login command is: IN username password
Your Password is case sensitive.
For example, if your username is 'nisha' and password is 'FisHing', your screen will look like this:

You will get a response with a summary of the first four mails in your Inbox. Your screen will look like this:
To get a summary of the next or previous four mails, the command is: NEXT Or PREV

Check mail

Once you are logged in Rediffmail using your mobile phone, your login on the phone is valid for 7 days. If you logout fom the phone using the OUT command, you will have to login again to check your mail.

The command to check your mail is: MAIL

You will get a response with a summary of the first four mails in your Inbox. Your screen will look like this:
To get a summary of the next or previous four mails, the command is: NEXT Or PREV

Read Mail

Suppose you want to read message number 1, the command to read the message is :
READ 1 Or RD 1

You will get a response with the first 140 characters of the email message number 1. The command to read more of the same mail is:

MORE 1
You will get a response with the next 140 characters of theemail message number 1.
The end of the mail will be shown as ' -- End of Email -- '

Read Other Mails

To command to read mails from your other email accounts is: POP P1, P2 or P3
(where P1, P2 or P3 is the SMS code for the account you want to read mail from)
You will get a response with a summary of your mails from your other accounts.
Please note that you need to turn on the option to receive mails from other accounts.
Reply Mail

Suppose you want to reply to message number 4, the command to reply is:
REPLY 4 'your message'

If successfull, you will get a response that your mail has been successfully sent to username@rediffmail.com or the email address that you sent the reply to.

• Go Back to your Inbox

The command to go back to your Inbox is:

BACK
You will get a response with a summary of the mails that were displayed to you before you selected to read or reply to the email message.
Forward Mail

Suppose you want to forward the message number 2, the command to forward the mail message is

FORWARD 2 user email address

If successfull, you will get a response with a confirmation that your mail has been successfully forwarded to username@rediffmail.com or the email address that you forwarded the mail to.
Delete Mail

Suppose you want to delete the message number 2, the command to delete mail is

DELETE 2

If your mail is deleted successfully, you will get a response with a confirmation that your mail has been deleted successfully.

Send Mail

The command to send new mail is SEND user_email_address 'your message'

If successfull, you will get a response that your mail has been successfully sent to username@rediffmail.com or the email address that you sent the mail to.

Logout

The command to logout is OUT
If your logout is successfull, you will get a response with a confirmation that you have successfully signed out.
